HISP Teaching School Hub Successfully Re-designated for 2024-2028
We are delighted to announce that HISP Teaching School Hub has been successfully re-designated by the Department for Education as the Teaching School Hub for: Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, the New Forest, Southampton, Test Valley and Winchester, for the next four years.
David Higginbottom, Deputy Director at HISP TSH said, “I am thrilled that we have been designated as the Teaching School Hub for our current regions for the next four years. This means that we can continue to provide localised access to the golden thread of teacher professional development to all schools across and beyond our designated hub areas.”
Teaching School Hubs play a fundamental role in the delivery of the ‘golden thread’ of high-quality evidence-based support, training and development for teachers and school leaders at all levels. This includes:
-
providing Appropriate Body services for early career teachers (ECTs)
-
delivering Early Career Framework (ECF) based training
-
delivery the full suite of the National Professional Qualifications (NPQs)
-
delivery of Initial Teacher Training
David also said, “Ensuring that all schools across our regions have access to localised face-to-face training, delivered by local expert facilitators, has always been at the heart of our work as a Teaching School Hub. As we look forward to the next designation period, we look forward to continuing to work with all schools, with a particular focus on supporting as many schools as possible in disadvantaged areas. Our work will help to ensure that pupils in those areas receive the very best education.”
