Celebrating Successes: A Strong Start to the Year Across Our Teaching School Hub
.png)
Our Term 1 return to the DfE highlights an exceptional start to the year across every strand of our work, with engagement, retention and participant feedback all significantly exceeding national KPIs.
School Engagement across our hub regions continues to grow at pace.
Across Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth, we are now working with 229 schools against a KPI of 150. Across the New Forest, Southampton, Winchester and the Test Valley, engagement stands at 204 schools against a KPI of 140. Alongside this, we have successfully engaged 215 schools outside of our core regions, demonstrating the strength of our reputation and reach.
Early Career Teacher Programme (ECTP) delivery remains a major strength.
Our ECT retention rate is 94%, far exceeding the KPI of 80%. This reflects the quality of our programme delivery, mentor support and participant experience.
NPQ delivery has also seen outstanding commitment and retention.
In Autumn 25, 206 participants began an NPQ with us across the full suite of programmes — NPQEL, NPQH, NPQLTD, NPQSL, NPQEYL, NPQLL, NPQLPM and NPQ for SENCOs — with 100% retention to date.
Appropriate Body services continue to be delivered with rigour and quality assurance.
We have completed QA visits to 15% of schools in both regions (27 schools in SE3 and 27 schools in SE7), ensuring high standards of induction and statutory compliance.
