Becoming an ECF Facilitator

Are you interested in becoming a facilitator on our Early Career Programme?

The role of early career programme facilitator offers the opportunity to contribute to professional development and to the wider effectiveness of teaching and school leadership across the HISP regions.

Using the evidence-based curriculum and training materials provided by Education Development Trust our team of facilitators work directly with participants by delivering training sessions in locations across the HISP TSH regions.

You can find out more about EDTs professional development programme for early career teachers here

Typically, ECF facilitators will be required to plan and deliver one full or half-day session per term to either early career teachers (ECTs) or their mentors. Sessions are either delivered by one facilitator or by a team of two depending on participant numbers.

Training materials, such as slide decks, facilitator notes and resources are provided by EDT but it is your experience, passion and ability to bring the sessions alive that we are looking for.

Whilst we welcome expressions of interest from all key stages, provisions and geographical areas, we are particularly interested in recruiting facilitators that meet the following criteria:

  • Early Years specialist

  • Primary specialist in Portsmouth, Fareham or Gosport

  • Primary and/ or Secondary specialist in Southampton

We particularly welcome applications from people we would like to see better represented in our organisation and sector - people of colour, LGBTQ+ people and disabled people.
